At Himalayan Goat, we are committed to providing exceptional service and transparency. These Terms and Conditions define the scope of our services, your obligations as a user, and the limitations of our liability. 1. Code of Conduct & Personal Responsibility:
Himalayan Goat is not liable for any verbal or physical altercations that may occur within or outside the group. All personal behaviour, including intimate interactions, remains the sole responsibility of the individuals involved. Any consequences resulting from such behaviour are not the liability of the company.
2. Property Care & Cleanliness:
Travelers are expected to respect and maintain the condition of accommodations and facilities provided during the trip. Any damage to property, including furniture, equipment, or the natural surroundings, must be avoided. Participants are expected to uphold principles of responsible and eco-friendly tourism, maintaining cleanliness in all shared and private spaces.
3. Adventure Activities & Safety:
All adventure-related activities (e.g., trekking, biking, rafting) are voluntary and undertaken at the traveller’s own risk. Participants must follow safety guidelines provided by team leaders or professionals. Himalayan Goat will not be held responsible for injuries or accidents during any part of the trip.
4. Travel Insurance & Medical Liability:
It is highly recommended that travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes health, accident, and liability coverage. Himalayan Goat does not cover medical costs, emergency evacuation, or any expenses resulting from injuries, illnesses, or behavioural misconduct. Should a traveller be dismissed from the trip due to misconduct, all return or alternative travel costs will be their responsibility.
5. Misconduct & Dismissal Policy:
We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding abusive, disrespectful, or disruptive behaviour toward trip leaders, fellow travellers, vendors, or local communities. Any participant violating these standards may be removed from the trip without refund. All associated costs due to such dismissal will be borne solely by the participant.
6. Substance Use Policy:
The possession, consumption, or distribution of illegal drugs or narcotics is strictly prohibited. Any individual found violating this policy does so at their own risk and will be fully responsible for any legal or medical consequences. Himalayan Goat does not support or condone substance abuse in any form.
7. Punctuality & Missed Departures:
Participants must adhere to all communicated schedules and timeframes. Himalayan Goat is not liable for missed transfers or scheduled activities due to participant delay. No refund will be issued for missed events due to tardiness.
8. Force Majeure & Itinerary Changes:
In case of unforeseen events such as natural disasters, political unrest, or transportation strikes, Himalayan Goat reserves the right to modify or cancel any portion of the trip for the safety of participants. No refunds or compensation will be offered for changes due to force majeure circumstances.
9. Personal Belongings:
Travelers are solely responsible for their personal belongings throughout the trip. Himalayan Goat shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage of personal items, whether in transit, at accommodations, or during activities.
10. Photography & Media Use:
By joining our trips, you consent to the use of photographs and video content taken during the trip by our team or fellow travellers. These may be used for promotional or marketing purposes by Himalayan Goat Adventures. Commercial use of this content by others requires prior written permission.
11. Booking & Payment Policy:
Full payment must be completed before the start of the trip. Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation without refund.
12. ID Verification Requirement:
All participants must present a valid government issued photo ID before trip departure. Boarding without proper identification will not be permitted.
13. Non-Transferability of Bookings:
Bookings are non-transferable. Only the individual(s) listed at the time of booking will be allowed to participate.
14. No Refund for Unused Inclusions:
No refund will be provided for any itinerary element or inclusion that is not utilized by the traveller.
15. Departure Schedule Adherence:
All participants must arrive at the designated pickup location at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Participants who miss the departure will not be entitled to any refund. Two courtesy calls will be made prior to departure.
16. Air Conditioning Usage:
In hilly terrain, AC use will be at the driver’s discretion for safety reasons. AC may be turned off during steep or hazardous routes.
17. No Alcohol or Smoking Policy:
Consumption of alcohol and smoking is strictly prohibited during travel. Our trips often involve physically demanding activities at high altitudes, and participants must be in good health and refrain from intoxicants to ensure their safety and that of others.
18. Accidents & Injuries Disclaimer:
Himalayan Goat and its affiliates are not responsible for any accident, injury, illness, or death arising from unforeseen circumstances, third-party service providers, or participant negligence.
19. Emergency Evacuation:
In case of serious illness or injury, medical evacuation or third-party transport may be arranged. All associated expenses will be the sole responsibility of the traveller or their family.
20. Weather & Itinerary Flexibility:
Itineraries may be modified due to weather conditions, participant health, or road safety. We reserve the right to make adjustments to ensure the well-being and comfort of all travellers.
21. Interpersonal Financial Dealings:
Himalayan Goat is not responsible for any financial transactions, lending, or disputes that occur between participants during the trip.
22. Dispute Resolution Clause:
Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to resolution under the laws of India, with jurisdiction falling under the appropriate courts of Delhi. A detailed dispute resolution policy will be provided as part of the pre-departure documentation.
23. Changes to These Terms and Conditions:
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our operations or legal requirements. Whenever significant updates are made, we will notify you by posting a notice on our website.
